Graduates face fierce job market with rising screenings

Chicago AP report notes 1987 graduates confront a competitive market with many employers screening for AIDS and drug or alcohol abuse. Despite a flat demand vs 1986, average starting salaries rise about 2.1 percent, while drug testing expands and engineers remain in demand though slightly down overall.
