Farm Bureau backs local tax and sanitation plan in Frederick County
The Frederick County Farm Bureau approved seven resolutions at its annual meeting including a local option sales tax for the county and a proposal to create a sanitary district to attract industry and improve rural sanitation. They called for a detailed county audit listing employee names and salaries, opposed a Department of Agriculture in Maryland, and supported more roadside picnic areas. The resolutions go to the county meeting on December 29 and then to the Maryland State Farm Bureau. Maryland motorists were urged to correct incorrect information on registrations in writing to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
