Hood College in Frederick hosts a week of Christmas activities including plays, services, and a candlelit carol procession. Students depart at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday for street carol singing, while a Christmas dinner and a Nativity play conclude the festive events.

Blake received nine years in the penitentiary and Collins four years in the House of Correction.

Harry J. Hopkins longtime chief clerk in the State Comptroller's office died today in Annapolis after more than two years of illness. The 65 year old native of Talbot County was also a leader in local finance and is survived by his children.
