Washingtonian Center Annexation Boosts Gaithersburg
Gaithersburg plans to annex 138 acres of the Washingtonian Center from Ackerman and Company, predicting over 1 million dollars annual tax revenue at buildout and a 10 year abatement. Mayor Bohrer calls it financially positive with minor added police needs and a broader city identity. The full 236 acre annexation will include adjacent parcels along I-270 and I-370 and hinge on public hearings.
