Cabinet pay hike proposal targets Congress members
A proposal seeks higher pay for cabinet appointees and lawmakers, arguing current salaries limit recruitment. The plan cites salaries from 15,900 to 25.00 annually for cabinet members and about 10,000 a year for other government posts, urging increases to attract qualified personnel. The push notes wartime and postwar expense pressures and calls for a structured four-step raise plan.
