J Britam Winter Baltimore past State Christian Endeavor president will speak and pass lighted candles through county and society representatives. One candle will light for each attending society as the program aims for broad participation with the theme In, Be Present Joy To The World.
The Navez Retail Dry Goods Association reported to President Roosevelt that many leading merchants believe the recovery drive is gaining ground steadily. Merchants praised the NRA and expressed confidence in further improvements. The association notes it is a trade group of 4,500 department and specialty stores.
