Santa letter flood signals Christmas rush in Walkersville
A sprawling, fragment filled page captures children in Walkersville writing to Santa with long lists of dolls, trains, candy, oranges and toys. The pleas mention scooters, toy kitchen sets, card games, dolls and a baby carriage, with many signatories from local families. The final note reports Queen Mary wearing the Cullinan diamond at a royal banquet.
