The funeral for William Doralt was held yesterday afternoon from his Booth Market Street residence at five o'clock. Rev. Dr. E. R. Bachbach and Rev. W. J. McKenney conducted services. Lynch Lodge No. 168 A F & A M and Columbia Lodge provided pallbearers. The Lynch quintet sang at the house and graveside. F Schroeder was the undertaker. The ministers praised his character and offered comfort to his family.
The Circuit Court devoted the day to the State's case against Martin McBride and A M Thomas charged with assault and battery on Nannie Deaver near Knoxville. Nannie Deaver and Katherine Bruatfeld testified for the state, while McBride and Thomas defended themselves. The trial appeared trivial and proceeded with Deaver near the bar and Bruatfeld along with a companion in the rear of the courtroom.
The Bentztone Bard of Toe Nuns was presented with a splendid pumpkin pie by Mrs. Henry Lorentz of the city. The pie delighted the Bard and other Tus Nxwa officers who declared it the most delicious pie they had ever tasted. Mrs Lorentz is praised for her baking prowess and timely gesture.
PURELY PERSONAL Miss Elsanore Murdoch Tyler who has been spending a short time at her home here returned to Baltimore today. Miss Manzelis Garver daughter of Mr and Mrs James Garver of Liberty who had been living with relatives in Penne aylysms and who had not seen her parents for over seven years in visiting them at this time. Miss Alms Pennell of the Woman's College left today for Pennsylvania where she will spend her vacation.

Accepting a commission to fight Spain carries a maximum $2,000 fine and three years in prison. enlisting or hiring others to enlist carries up to $1,000 fine and three years' imprisonment.
Miss Clemmie Miller of Thurmont underwent finger amputation about a month ago due to infection and now faces amputation of the arm at the shoulder to survive. She has the sympathy of many friends in her affliction.

Archibald Walsh ill and William Lebbertz laid up with a neck ailment. New presidential names for the Junior Fire Company include John Eisenbauer Col L Baughmann and J Renry Lampe. A L Garris and wife deed one acre to William Joseph Proctor for thirty dollars. In city records 1408 Happy Hearts notes seven hundred four marriage licenses issued since March 12 of last year.
