Condemned Murderer Leonard Seeks Last Visits at Jail
William Leonard, condemned for murder, remained despondent in custody as spiritual counselors visited including Rev. Osborne Ingle and Rev. Fr. Coleman. No date set for execution by the Governor. Leonard, born in Liverpool, served six years in the British Army, traveled widely, and lived in Baltimore for years before coming to the United States. He claimed four children, scattered with relatives in Virginia and Maryland, cannot visit him. He worked on the Pennsylvania tunnel and mined coal in Pennsylvania.

Train wreck near Louisville kills three in freight crash
