The Frederick County Liquor Commission ordered OB's Pub at 1996 Rosemont Avenue to suspend all beer wine and liquor sales and replace its corporate officers by December 29 or have the license revoked. A delayed hearing request was denied as inspectors cited ongoing violations including corporate mismanagement and records failures. Deputy county attorney says transfer will take about a month.
Frederick man Russell J Newcomer, 44, was found guilty of driving under the influence and driving on a revoked license after drunk driving that paralyzed a 5 month old girl and spurred Maryland Mothers Against Drunk Driving. A $300,000 bond was set as he awaits a pre sentence investigation and alcohol evaluation. Sentencing date not yet set.
