Relief effort ordered by All Saints Men’s Club
The All Saints Episcopal Church Men’s Club held its monthly meeting to plan relief for Frederick’s unemployed this winter. Speakers warned of hard times ahead and a committee was formed to coordinate with other churches. Donations and Christmas baskets were discussed as funds are tight, with Dr. Williamson noting Federated Charities finances are strained. A plan to assist the city’s poor was proposed, including contacting unemployed church members and quietly aiding needy families.
