Substantial Cut In Bentz St Traffic
Traffic observations through Frederick Freeway opening show no major through traffic changes on two major one way streets. Bentz Street alone may see nearly fifty percent cut, while South Street drops around twenty five percent. Through truck traffic largely removed from one way streets, local traffic grows on Market and Patrick. Downtown traffic remains heavy when stores open, but winter weather and shorter days temper counts. Residents worry about fence gaps near Stewart Manor and child safety on the highway. Weekend driving saw no serious accidents.
