Gordon elected Montgomery County school board president

Beatrice Gordon will lead the Montgomery County school board as president for 1995 with Ana Lol Gutierrez as vice president. Gordon, a Silver Spring resident, succeeds outgoing president Carol Fanconi and has served since 1992. Gutierrez, a Chevy Chase resident and district 3 representative, is deputy administrator for the U S Department of Transportation and is the first Hispanic school board member.
