Faulty brain tumor diagnosis turns Christmas miracle for Kym Curzon
CHICAGO AP Kym Curzon believed her inoperable brain tumor would end her life, but a brain tumor hotline review revealed an epithelial cyst near her brain stem. Surgeons removed the cyst on December 4, and she is slated for release from University of Chicago Medical Center. The misdiagnosis came after a biopsy and dire forecasts. the hotline aided in reconsidering treatment options and locating resources for care.
