Lantz Man Injured In Accident Near Thurmont
State police transported Lawrence Forrest of Lantz to Washington County General Hospital after a crash just south of Thurmont near Route 15. Edwin Fellows of Emmitsburg suffered facial lacerations and was released after treatment. Officers cited sleep and excessive speed as probable causes. Bechtel noted Forrest and Fellows were passengers in the southbound vehicle that struck a stop sign and left the roadway. Another item notes Robert L. Warfield Jr., formerly of Frederick, became manager of Goodbody and Company's Palm Beach office at 401 South County Road Findlay Plaza.

Seek Hit Run Driver Appeal By Virginia Police
Virginia State Police and Loudoun County Sheriff's Office appeal to the public for help locating the driver of a hit and run on Route 9 in Hamilton. Teen Thomas Lee Miller, 14, remains in Loudoun County Hospital with two leg fractures after being struck while bicycling with a friend, Junior Bentley, on December 6. Miller faces a Christmas and possibly Valentine’s Day in hospital as investigators review the two feet left of the roadway from the passing vehicle.
