$100000 Suit Is Removed to Carroll County
A $390,000 damage suit from Frederick county Circuit Court, 1953, seeking damages for the death of Mrs. Anna E. Maness's husband in an accident, has been moved to Carroll county for trial on a change of venue. Plaintiffs are Mrs. Anna E. Maness of Bethesda and daughter Troy L. Maness. Defendants include Sevler Lumber Co. of Bluefield Virginia James C. Fields of West Graham Virginia and Austin C. Murray of Lime Kiln. A separate $10,000 damage suit by Charles F. Bowers against Summer Bros. Construction Inc. was moved to Washington county. Bowers, a local architect, seeks fees tied to construction of the J. C. Penney store on North Market Street. Answers were filed by defendants in a state Roads Commission condemnation suit.
