Washington Is In Confusion
Baltimore December 13 Senator Tydings argued for decentralization of the Office of Price Administration voicing that rationing and price control show states and cities should govern more locally. He faulted the Senate for surrendering appointment power and warned of centralization and burdensome rules that waste time and money and threaten democracy. He cited the need to move authority to the field and reduce red tape while noting the military transportation needs for an armored division.
