The committee’s split vote and Washington maneuvering echo prior battles, with Musgrove described as a longtime Brunswick resident and town clerk. The office pays $1,700 annually plus a clerk’s salary, and related appointments in Frederick County were discussed with rules guiding endorsements and district adherence.
