Foreign Aid Bill Passed By Voice Vote in House

The House approved by voice vote a stopgap foreign aid bill authorizing 590 million dollars for France, Italy, Austria and China to bridge to the Marshal Plan. Senate objections loom over full 597 million requested and China exclusion. Amendments seek to shield prices and prevent aid via Communist entities, with conference talks to reconcile differences ongoing.
