Brazilian visitors find US costly and cold during stay
A Walkersville family hosted a Brazilian couple Mr and Mrs Lauro Jose Ourique from Sao Paulo. They toured Washington New Jersey and planned Florida trips, noting high prices, especially for clothes and food, and the cold climate. They compared wages and maid service, observed open houses, and expressed mixed impressions of American life during their 21 day visit.
