Western cattle put on sale in Baltimore
Maryland farmers can buy about 1,400 head of western cattle at the union stock yards in Baltimore. The cattle are for sale outright to farmers and are separate from government shipments to Maryland for relief. Most came from drought ridden western areas with feed shortages while Maryland farmers have surplus feed for roughly 2,000 head.

Farmer gored by angry bull near Doubs farm
Charles A. Walter, 56, a well known farmer near Doubs, was gored and injured while feeding stock in the barnyard at 7:30 this morning. He was taken by ambulance to Frederick City Hospital with cuts and bruises. x rays showed no broken bones.

Last of five in Pennyslvania babes in the woods tragedy buried
The funeral for 18 year old Winifred Pierce was held at dawn near Duncansville. She and her uncle Elmo J. Noakes were among five victims found dead in a Pennsylvania tragedy linked to three Noakes children. A hearse and car then headed to Carlisle to join the others in burial near the scene of the deaths.

Santa Claus Breaks Leg Flying In For Lagrange Visit
