A prominent Washington fashion designer Mrs Ada Gilbert Dennis 45 was found unconscious with a fractured skull and bruises at 117 K Street NW. Police pursuit ongoing no arrests made and condition precarious as doctors hope for information from her if consciousness returns. Manila reports a clash as 200 riflemen and 469 bolomen attacked Nagpartian in North Neros. Company M of the Eighth Infantry held the line, killing eleven attackers with no American casualties. Earlier, Labo clash with Twentieth Infantry left three Americans dead and enemy losses believed heavy. Thousands flee Batangas as safety measures escalate.
Aberdeen Wash Dec 11 A British bark Finmore bound from Santa Rosalia Mex to Portland Ore ran into the surf at Raft river mouth north of Gray's Harbor. The 50 crew abandoned to boats, one boat capsized, six men drowned. Rest reached shore after 34 hours. one died of exposure and P Pearson was near death in Hoquiam hospital. Vessel towed off by Astoria tug.

Ticket scalping rules drew lively contention, with pro scalping wins, while a universal label for union made goods was defeated.
