Area hunters bag five big bucks in Pennsylvania trip
Twenty years ago items from the News-Post report area hunters returned from Bradford and Lycoming Counties with five deer, largest 265 pounds and smallest 195. The group included Charles Wilcom and Ray Wiener among others. They noted 25 does were observed but all were protected by law. Also in Maryland the emergency fuel administrator said only 30 days of coal stockpiled, with most in Baltimore area, rail embargo preventing movement. Daily state use set at 31,000 tons. The coal embargo worsens the parcel post stockpile at Frederick City Post Office, predicting delayed Christmas gifts.
