Attempted Robbery at Brunswick Frustrated
Brunswick awoke to a failed break in at the Victor Kapton Company on Main Street. Edward Hiessey, a B and O employee, was struck a heavy blow and fled to the M C A after three assailants tried to remove glass and jewelry from a storefront display. Hiessey received medical care for a severe head wound. Police and county officers investigate ties to a Harper’s Ferry raid where $400 to $500 in jewelry was stolen.
