Golf pro McGinnis dies after long local career
Mike McGinnis 59 longtime Fred erick area golf professional died Tuesday at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Husband of Joan Larkin McGinnis he was a fixture in local golf circles. He came to Frederik area in 1971 as original club professional at Eaglehead Country Club later West Winds and served as golf pro at Holly Hills starting 1977. He played in PGA events including the Kemper Open and in U S Senior Open at Congressional Country Club. Funeral arrangements are pending.
