Dr Lea Elected By Baptists As College Trustee Chairman
Dr Melvin E Lea a Frederick surgeon was elected chairman of the Mary land Baptist College permanent board of trustees at the Baltimore organizational meeting of the 25 member board created last month by the Baptist Convention of Maryland. Carl F Schier Jr Baltimore was elected vice chairman and Rev John M Tubbs Baltimore was secretary. Frederick members Niemann A Brunk and Rev Robert F Woodward serve on the board alongside 14 laymen and 11 pastors from the convention. The nine member initial trustees had been led by Dr Chine L Vice of Glen Burnie as chairman. Reports were given by development director John R Cummins Sr and college treasurer Gilbert L South of Baltimore.

Court To Set Trial Dates Tomorrow For 38 Indicted
Court officials said trial dates will be set tomorrow for 38 persons indicted in yesterday's special grand jury session. Indictments cover murder assault arson rape grand and petty larceny receiving stolen goods and breaking and entering. Multiple Payments for Solons Ruled Legal by Council
