Middletown High seniors win Braddock Heights Youth Week scholarships
Two Middletown High School seniors, Matt Baker and Jennifer Granger, received $500 scholarships from the Braddock Heights Middletown Valley Optimist Club during Youth Appreciation Week on November 20. In a separate event, the Mount Pleasant Raritan Club donated $500 to the Libertytown Fire Company to help buy a thermal imaging machine, funded by the club's October basket hinge. Representing the fire company were Larry Welsh and Teresa Welsh, with Ruritan president Harry Lenhart and vice president Betty Younkins presenting.

Guided Capitol tours resume amid heightened security
Capitol tours reopen with new screening outside the building. Visitors must pass through a metal detector and have belongings x rayed.
