Police arrest two in Frederick operation crack down
Police arrested Rebel L. Byrd aged 18 of no fixed address and Charles E. Hoy Jr aged 29 of John Hanson Apartments at 3 08 p m in the John Hanson Apartments complex during Operation Crack Down now into its 310th day and 428th arrest. Byrd led an undercover officer to Hoy who sold crack cocaine to the officer.

Man faces rape charges in Frederick incident
Frederick man Guy D. Prince, 26, was arrested on multiple rape and assault charges after allegedly forcing a 20-year-old woman into a vehicle with a knife and raping her near the Monocacy River bridge. He was jailed without bond pending a judge's review.

DC man convicted on drug charges
A Washington DC man Terry Hay Tibbs 21 was convicted in Frederick County Circuit Court of possession with intent to sell crack cocaine. Sentencing was deferred to next year. Police found cocaine traces in Tibbs motel room and seized a 1987 Nissan with crack rocks a driver license and a 150-pound trunk safe. Tibbs faces up to 20 years and a 25000 fine. Harold A Durbin 32 Frederick requested a jury trial on assaulting four officers during disturbances at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. Durbin’s charges will move to circuit court for trial. he remains jailed on drug distribution charges and related incidents.
