Frederick City detectives investigate a bank robbery at Frederick I High School after a break in last night. State Police charged 20 year old Michael Elmer Wilhelm of Burkittsville with breaking into Claude Stone's apartment. burglary Tuesday yielded $15 to $20 and six pennies.

Frederick Woman Beaten In Rape Attempt At Spring Park
Miss Hetty Jane Marshall of the Barbara Fritchie Cabins was assaulted Monday night near Spring Park. She was found Tuesday morning at West Patrick Street bridge with head injuries and shock, taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment. Police describe the attack as an attempted rape and say she was forced to a restroom before the beating.
