Police report a driver identified as Zzan Susomo charged with operating under the influence after a morning arrest at 12 10. Bond set at 500 dollars for a related charge. Also detained were W B H Penny and Siaser Pex for alleged drunken activity at Maczet and Sixth Streets. Further arrests include PL MeDor and Earl Woume for disorderly conduct and other charges.
The Farmers National Reserve conference in Washington urged a federal appropriation of 500 million dollars for the distressed farm population. The group asked Congress to use the funds to raise rural families to a minimum health and decent standard of living as part of a legislative farm relief program.
