Four Hospitalized As Car Hits Signal

Four Baltimore youths were hospitalized after a car hit an automatic railroad signal near Sabillasville and overturned at about 4:40 p.m. Sunday. Injuries ranged from possible jaw fracture and lacerations to head and facial injuries. one passenger remained hospitalized with head injuries while others were discharged or released to relatives. The crash occurred on State 81 near the Western Maryland Railroad tracks with speeds described as high as the car failed to negotiate a curve and struck the signal.

Outlaws Kill Farmer Near Kairouan

Tunis dispatch reports outlaw attack on a farm near Kairouan killing one farmer and wounding another. French authorities estimate about 1,200 rebels remain in hiding despite a government pledge of immunity for surrendering fighters.

Airliner Crashes Near Luang Prabang Laos

The French News Agency reports a passenger plane with 26 aboard crashed yesterday in northern Laos about 20 miles north of Luang Prabang. No casualty details are given. The aircraft, Compagnie Air Lags, was on the Vientiane to Muong Sing route via Luang Prabang and Nam Tha. Wreckage was seen in the mountainous jungle by searchers.
