CAS Plans Elections In January
The Frederick Children's Aid Society held its final meeting for the year in Winchester Hall and set January 8 at the Francis Scot Ker Hotel for the annual election meeting. E. Eugene Thomas Jr. presided as CAS board president. Seven committee members were named to prepare a slate for 1962. The report noted five new cases accepted in November and eight more children placed in foster care, with several case outcomes including parental return and adoption.

Eagles plan two Christmas events and a New Year dance at the Eagles Home with a Santa visit and a children’s party. An advisory council on mental hygiene is formed to assist state policy makers. it will function as part of the State Board of Health and Mental Hygiene. A Soviet aviation delegation arrives in Jakarta to discuss a scheduled flight service between Jakarta and Moscow.
