Laytonsville Elementary School in Montgomery County formally dedicates the Buffard Z. Nei Memorial Greenhouse to honor former principal Buffard Nei who led the school from 1958 to 1973. Dr. Joseph Tarello, retired MCPS administrator, delivers the address and recalls Nei as a devoted educator and community figure. Pauline Nel, Nei's widow, says her husband dreamed of such a greenhouse for the children.
