Aron case split into two trials over murder-for-hire charges
Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge McGuckian ruled the Ruthann Aron case will be bifurcated into guilt or innocence and a separate mental state phase. He noted eight medical experts and the likelihood of intermingled evidence favor bifurcation. Separate trials on solicitation and attempted murder were also agreed, with Aron freed on bond and electronic monitoring pending a December 15 trial start.
