Union Bridge youth killed in Carroll County crash near Linwood
A 16 year old Union Bridge boy, Timothy Tighe, died after a southbound 1964 sedan left Pipe Creek Road near Linwood and hit a tree just before 10 p.m. Four other Carroll County youths were injured, including Douglas Pyles who was flown by state police helicopter to MIEM in critical but stable condition. The driver, Daniel Wheeler, and two others suffered multiple injuries. no charges filed as investigation continues. Linwood lies near the Carroll County line between New Windsor and Union Bridge.
