Flogged pistol duel at Ghurgh Door ends in death

In Nashville Indiana on December 2 Ermit Helsonburg age twenty seven and Samson Axom age twenty one fought a pistol duel in front of Rev Skinner's church during a providence service. Axom was shot in the left lung and died at a farm home where attendants were summoned. The preacher urged parishioners to remain in place, saying services would not be interrupted even if a dozen died outside.

Carlisle’s House Attacked Action Taken to Satisfy Claim
