Three Acres Skating Pond in City Park Underway
Work continues on the new city park despite winter, with grading of the swimming pool near completion and a three acre skating pond east of the pool backed by a dam. A new dam near College Avenue will start today or Thursday with M J Grove Lime Co awarded the contract. The park also includes a seven and a half foot deep pool 110 by 200 feet and a 600 foot lake for boating, plus lighting plans and a wooden edge around the concrete walk.
