Jail Terms Imposed For 13 Auto Law Convictions
A Rockville man, Robert Dale Johnson, 23, was found guilty of 13 traffic charges in Magistrate's Court. He received 30 days in Frederick County Jail and 150 days in the Maryland House of Correction in default of $500 in fines after pleading not guilty and claiming he was not driving. Officer Snoots testified Johnson fled on May 22, ran red lights, exceeded 70 mph, and fled on foot after abandoning his car. The magistrate fined him various amounts totaling the jail terms, including 30 days for speeding over 70 and additional fines for disobeying police, speed violations, and stop-sign failures.
