Timonium Fair Crowds Are Cut by War Travel

The Timonium State Fair opened an 11 day run with bigger exhibits but war caused transportation problems that reduced attendance. Parking spaces were vacant inside and outside the grounds. Dairy cattle judging entries rose five percent over 1941, beef cattle up 15 percent, and draft horses 10 percent. Poultry entries were down after 800 were rejected due to shipment issues from New Jersey. Judging of Holstein cattle and draft horses starts tomorrow.
