The Covenant of Promise and the Gospel Age Hope
In Watertown the essay argues that life and the afterlife rest with the Lord who works all things for good. It explains the Abrahamic covenant as foundational to Christian hope, tying Christ and the Church to the promise. It asserts threefold blessings for spiritual Israel, natural Israel, and all nations, while distinguishing future universal restoration from present salvation by faith in Christ alone.

Conciliation board reports on three years of work
New York Aug 30 The anthracite conciliation board issued a report covering three years of efforts to settle differences between mine workers and operators. Only twenty three grievances were presented to mediators from April 1 1906 to April 1 last, down from 150 in the three years before 1906. The three between workers and employers reflect improved relations. The board, created by the 1902 strike commission, includes equal numbers of workers and operators. When they fail to agree the case goes to an umpire appointed by a federal judge. In three years only three grievances were referred to an umpire.
