August To Finish On Hot Note
The temperature reached 91 degrees at the airport station Monday and forecasts suggest similar heat with little rainfall. Only a few days in September have hit 90 degrees, and while a thunderstorm tonight could alter totals, the 1.39 inch August rainfall goal appears unlikely. Rainfall this month has risen to 2.24 inches since early shortages, and water supplies are steady with a new filtration plant dedication planned Wednesday. Market irregularities note small plus and minus signs in a quiet stock session.
