Robert R. Mitchell, arrested in Baltimore, faces four counts of forgery for using stolen traveler and express checks. Authorities say the conman held up offices in New York City, Chicago and Hyattsville between March 12 and July 23, escaping with about $6,700. A .38 revolver was found in a car along with unused checks.
