Fund raiser support withdrawn over neighborhood opposition
Frederick officials withdrew conditional support for Sun Splash 97, an outdoor charity fundraiser at Tully's on the Golden Mile, citing neighbor opposition and concerns about noise and parking for an event that could draw about 2,000 people. Aldermen questioned the fundraiser's site and precedent, while zoning and permit officials noted potential regulatory and community impacts.
