Monday's 4-H beef show in the cow palace crowned champions led by Mark Moxley of Howard County with the grand crossbred steer. Judge Rex Tribbett emphasized size, confirmation, and profitability, selecting the reserve champion Cheryl Bennett. Frederick and Carroll County entrants excelled in dairy goats and sheep with multiple county winners and grand champions. The event closed with a dairy member get together celebrating Maryland's 350th birthday.
