Reservists at Fort Meade Begin Two-Week Signal Battalion Camp
One hundred forty five reservists from the 302nd Signal Battalion Constrution United States Army Reserve based in Frederick are at Fort Meade for a two week summer field training encampment. The advance party arrived Friday and the unit will drill on combat techniques and technical developments, focusing on individual specialties, unit teamwork, and staff command duties. Fort Meade serves as a training site for 27 Second Army summer camps this year.

Inmate Killed as Riot Roils Colorado Prison
At the Buena Vista Colorado State Reformatory a riot left inmate Evariste Gomez dead and four others wounded.
