Heavy Loss In Collision On Route 40 Near Frederick
A tractor trailer and a stake body truck collided on Route 40 about four miles east of Frederick near Yamsville road around 1 8 o’clock this morning. Damage was about 10500 with the big tractor demolished but the trailer and load largely escaped. Driver Paschal of Dublin Va and driver Butts of Martinsburg escaped with minor injuries. Butts was charged with reckless driving. Road reopened after vehicles were towed away.

Man Killed and Woman Injured in Route 1 Crash
A Florida man identified as Donald R. Bull, 27, of Dunedin, was killed when his car collided with a tractor trailer on U S Route 1 two miles north of Laurel. His companion Reva Amos, 29, of Washington, D C, was seriously injured and taken to St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore with multiple lacerations and possible leg and jaw fractures. Truck driver T Astor Clay, 40, of Hayes Virginia, received minor bruises and was released. The crash occurred after Bull apparently lost control and swerved into the truck’s path. In a separate note, the Maryland Training School for Boys received a clean bill of health from the Baltimore County grand jury, with no indictments recommended.
