Emmitsburg held its annual picnic with Holstein class winners and several firsts, seconds, and thirds awarded. Judges, including agriculture teacher Ross Beith, praised the displays while locals like Clarence Epler and Walter Shoemaker earned blue ribbons for horses, ponies, and mares. Music by the Detour band accompanied the event, and club officers were listed as Jones Baker, Frank Grosher, and W. H Trotell.
