County Man Charged In Kidnapping
A 29 year old Brunswick area man named Dorsey D. Bryan is charged with abducting five month old Tressa Lynn Royston in Berryville Virginia. He awaits a September 9 preliminary hearing in Clarke County Jail. The baby sitter was persuaded to hand the infant to Bryan and an unnamed West Virginia man. A second man was later picked up in Charles Town West Virginia. About 11 30 p m Bryan returned the child unharmed. A Berryville police spokesman said Bryan offered no reason for the kidnapping.

Final Part Of U S 340 Bids Open Sept 13
Maryland State Roads Commission invites bids for the final section of U S 340 in Frederick County from Mt Zion Road to the Frederick Freeway. Bids are due at noon September 13 at SRC headquarters in Baltimore for the 3.3 mile stretch and include two bridges and connecting roads to Mt Zion Road and Md 78 Ballenger Creek Pike. The Jefferson south to the Jomac River bridge section is finished and open. The full Maryland route from Frederick to the Potomac is expected open in late 1967.
