Midland woman recalls Arctic crash during whale survey
Ana Sinclair, 24, a Midland native with NOAA, survived a crash 1,000 feet above the Arctic Circle while surveying Bowhead whales. The twin-engine plane stalled after engines failed, the crew escaped via a door that came off, and a life raft aided their rescue by a Dome Petroleum survey ship.
