Police Seek Jail Escapee In Maryland Incident
State and City Police plus the Frederick County Sheriff’s Department search for 39 year old William E. Beall of West Patrick Street who escaped from the Frederick County Jail during an early morning incident. Beall faced charges including armed robbery kidnapping assault use of a handgun in a felony and illegal transport of a handgun related to a July 26 holdup at Sheffield’s Liquors on North Market. Beall’s wife May D. Beall was also arrested in the same case and is in jail. An unidentified female in custody is being questioned in connection with the escape.

Bank of Brunswick Robbery Prompted Police Search
The Bank of Brunswick was robbed at 11 45 a.m. with an undisclosed amount taken. State and local police search Petersville Road area for a white male 18 to 20, about 5 4 to 5 6, 140 pounds, wearing a black shirt, blue dress trousers, and black shoes. No gun displayed and no injuries reported.

Last week to hire Rent-a-Kid workers in Thurmont
